This stream recognizes BC's critical healthcare labour shortage and offers expedited processing for eligible candidates.
One of Canada's most competitive tech immigration pathways. Open to workers in 29 eligible technology NOC codes — including software engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity specialists, and IT project managers. Requires a minimum 1-year full-time BC job offer. No LMIA required. Weekly draws with scores based on education, experience, and language. Express Entry-linked for additional speed.

A more accessible entrepreneur option for those willing to establish a business outside Metro Vancouver. Minimum net worth of $300,000. Minimum investment of $100,000. Intended to direct entrepreneurial talent to BC's smaller cities and regional economies — ideal for candidates who meet some but not all Base stream requirements.
BC PNP Registration Score System
Unlike some PNPs that review applications on a first-come, first-served basis, the BC PNP uses a competitive scoring system. When you register, you receive a registration score based on factors including:
- Your federal Express Entry CRS score (for EEBC stream)
- Education level and field of study
- Work experience (years and relevance)
- Language proficiency (CLB level)
- BC-specific factors (regional job offers score higher)
- Wage offered relative to BC median wage
BC holds regular draws and invites the highest-scoring candidates. Minimum scores at each draw fluctuate based on the pool of candidates. Tech Pilot draws are weekly — all other draws are typically bi-weekly or monthly.
BC PNP Application Process
Secure a Qualifying BC Job Offer
Most BC PNP streams require a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a BC employer. The employer must be a registered BC business in good standing. For the Tech Pilot, the employer must be in a qualifying tech sector.
Register in the BC PNP Online System
Submit your registration through the BC PNP online portal. You receive a registration score based on your profile factors. You enter the pool of candidates and compete with others in your stream at regular draw events.
Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA)
If your registration score meets or exceeds the minimum score at a draw, BC invites you to apply. You typically have 30 days to submit a complete application. Missing this window means re-entering the pool.
Submit Full BC PNP Application
Compile all supporting documents — language test results, educational credentials, employment records, employer documents, police certificates, and more — and submit through the provincial portal within the invitation window.
Receive Nomination & Apply for PR
Once BC approves your nomination, update your Express Entry profile with the provincial nomination code (for EEBC) to receive your 600-point CRS boost and federal ITA. For SI (base stream), submit a paper-based PR application to IRCC.

Yes — candidates currently working in BC are eligible and often competitive in the BC PNP. BC work experience in your occupation adds to your registration score.
