NBPNP Streams

Strategic Initiative Stream

New Brunswick's primary skilled worker stream. Targets workers in specific sectors prioritised by the province: IT, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, aquaculture, and agri-food. Requires a full-time, permanent job offer from an NB employer and CLB 5+.

Express Entry Labour Market Stream

For candidates in the federal Express Entry pool. NB targets Express Entry candidates in specific NOC codes aligned with provincial labour market needs. Requires active EE profile and connection to NB.

Critical Worker Pilot

Targeted at workers in critical occupations experiencing severe shortages — primarily food processing, trucking, and manufacturing. Workers must already be employed in NB in these sectors. Pathway to permanent nomination.

Skilled Worker with Employer Support

Requires a permanent, full-time job offer from an NB employer in a NOC TEER 0–3 occupation. Must have 1+ year of work experience in the offered occupation. Language requirements vary by NOC.

Business Immigration Stream

For experienced business owners and managers who want to operate a business in New Brunswick. Minimum net worth of $600,000, minimum investment of $250,000, and evidence of business experience required.

Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)

New Brunswick employers can directly support your PR application through the AIP — an employer-driven pathway that bypasses the provincial EOI system for qualifying skilled workers and international graduates.

French Language Advantage in NB

As Canada's only officially bilingual province, New Brunswick places high value on French-speaking applicants. Francophone candidates may receive priority consideration in certain streams and may also qualify for federal Express Entry French-language category draws, which historically have lower CRS cut-offs.

Francophone Advantage: If you speak French (CLB 7 in speaking and listening), you may qualify for federal category-based draws targeting French speakers — with significantly lower CRS score requirements than all-program draws.
